Another album from Gautham&Harris combination and it simply rocks. Gautham always try to get the best out of harris and this album is no exception. Harris still has not tried anything new but yet the composition is really nice. Its good to Harris to not to cross his comfort zone. He has been put under argument for reinstating songs but I think his melody and lyrics of the songs make him to come out of it.
I am sure these songs will be on charts for long time.
Adiye Kolluthey (Krish, Benny Dayal , Shruthi haasan)
Typical Harris song with heavy metal guitar interlude.Krish and Benny sets the platform for the song to move on.The surprise of this song is Shruthi haasan, she has a metallic voice which suits the metal guitar perfectly.Krish and benny both have a bright future in Music. Its a audio treat to enthusiasiats of heavy metal kind of music.
Annal Mealae Panithuli.. (Sudha Ragunathan)
This is my personal favorite song in this album. Sudha Ragunathan has splendid control over her voice and she expresses the feel of the character. The song is taking us back to Ilayaraja's evergreen period of melodies. I really love the Charanam of this song for the lyricist(Thamarai). She used very right words and the credit of the song goes to Sudha Ragunathan.
Ava Enna (Karthik, V.Prasanna)
Can u beleive Gautham tried a 'Kuthu' song?? Yes! He does. This is a folk/Gana number and I am sure Karthik would have enjoyed the song.Prasanna did his part well. But I felt the song lost its pace in some places here and there and it will reach the masses when the movie hits the screen.
Mundhinam Parthene (Naresh Iyer, Prashanthini)
A lovable soft rock from Harris. An impressing romantic song from Naresh Iyer and the new comer Prashanthini matches well with Naresh. The guitar in the background, the feel and the rhythm makes it the memorable song of the album. And this song will impress particularly girls for Surya's added dialogue in the beginning.
Nenjukkul Peidhidum (Hariharan, Devan, V.Prasanna)
Evergreen Hariharan with his chill voice.Only Hariharan can do such magics in his songs. He presented his part by taking greater depths and terrific control at higher pitches. It makes us to feel like standing in the rain and enjoying the shower. Great work from Harris!
Oh! Shanthi Shanthi (SP Charan, Clinton)
A fast paced melodious song like Kadhal Konjam in Pachaikili Muthucharam. Charan reminds his legendary father Dr.SPB. Clinton has done a remarkable job with his hummings along with metal guitars. You can keep on hearing this song manytimes and the freshness in the song makes us delight everytime. Another personal favorite number from the album.
Yethi Yethi (Benny Dayal, Naresh Iyer, Solar Sai)
It must be some kind of Introduction song in the film.Galatta song of the movie. A peppy one from Benny and Naresh.Benny is very good in this kind of freaky songs as he smashed his hit with 'Taxi Taxi'. Again he has attempted very well in VA. It is very refreshing to listen to this song.
And I wonder why Harris missed Bombay Jayashree in this movie.Even all songs will gonna be a musical hit. Another century from Gautham & Harris. Kudos!

dunno y good directors like gautam menon also goin 4 "kuthu" number???
is gautam menon tryin to sell his movie in b n c centre jus by havin a kuthu song??
hmmm...i think this s not a good sign 4 tamil cinema??
yes da... harris has got a set of 15-20 tunes.. mostly u can hear all those repeatedly in his albums. VA has no exception. The shadows of Mudhal naal indru from unnale unnale is there in Mundhinam parthene song... But even he scores with the melody in this album.. thts why i have said kudos to harris for this album
Gautham can't reach b&c only with this song. They need more masala stuff like only vijay can do all these things... I think gautham is taking risk by trying a kuthu song...
